Just finished reading The Deathly Hallows - I cracked it open after I finished my re-read of The Half-Blood Prince yesterday afternoon and did not pull the all-nighter that I probably could have. I didn't want it to end so soon...and truth be told, I was a little scared. :) So I got up this morning, still sleepy, around 9:30 and read until I had to leave to meet N for brunch at noon.
I got back around 2:30 with 75 pages left to go and took my time, savouring the ending. It's not the ending that I wished for but it was no less satisfying.
I wait now for E to finish so we can de-brief together....in the meantime, I'm off to a BBQ...

Wow. It takes me at least a month to read a book like that... probably becauuse I only read on the subway.. LOL.
Haha! I told my friends not to disturb me since I would be spending the day reading Harry Potter. :) I can't really remember the last time I read a book in such a short period of time, and I've NEVER pre-ordered a book before publication...but the phenomenon of Harry Potter is such that I couldn't NOT consume it like that. I didn't read my weekend papers and stayed off the internet for the most part to avoid coming across any spoilers inadvertently, which is what happened to me with Half Blood Prince the first time I read it, and that sort of ruined it for me, even though I bawled lots at the end.
