I finished
Alone in the Kitchen with an Eggplant today, a collection of essays by writers and foodies about what they eat when no one's around, and to celebrate, I indulged in one of my own home alone meals: steamed rice, seasoned roasted seaweed and
bonito flakes. I would never serve this to guests but the sweetness of the seaweed and the savoury bonito hits the spot perfectly.
