I finished this last night on my subway ride home and was almost glad it was over. This is a collection of short fiction by Chinese writers...and I've never really been a fan of short stories. I think the reason why is that I prefer the development of plot and characters over time...I find short stories abrupt and dissatisfying.All in all, the collection was good - my favourite was probably "Cherry" by Su Tong.
