I finished Alone in the Kitchen with an Eggplant today, a collection of essays by writers and foodies about what they eat when no one's around, and to celebrate, I indulged in one of my own home alone meals: steamed rice, seasoned roasted seaweed and bonito flakes. I would never serve this to guests but the sweetness of the seaweed and the savoury bonito hits the spot perfectly.
This sounds really good actually. I'll have to try it one day.
